OG Space Marine with 3D added parts stepping up.
Legion of the Damned white metal with 3D printed better stuff.
Finally got this guy and a bunch of other white metal stripped of their old paint job. Started painting them up.
Elected to not paint his eyes. I went with a muted bases. I may wash it down more.
I was thinking when posing him, that he just unloaded with left gun is now looking through the smoke ready to double tap anyone left with the right.
I was always a fan of the knobby shoulder pad and beakie helmet, but not the plastic marine box when they came out in 1990’s.
These are my 2nd favorite back pack. My earlier OG guys, you can see them in earlier posts, have my all time favorite. I should have bought more.
This squad of ten will be a mix of amour types, and weapons. The bases is what will tie them altogether.
Never enough time. I got an idea from doing these guys for the next squad of 10. You may not have read my goal when I started this site was to complete my 70 white metal guys. Like any good game I also bought some new plastic to feed my plastic krak addiction. So all told I will have over 100 space marines.
I have been working on the basics for my Chapter.
Anyway, all of these white metal marines are part of my OG, and they are getting done.
Adding 3d parts and newer plastic parts for me just makes my day.
I am glad that waiting paid off. Contrast/speed paints/ new plastic parts, and 3 d printed parts for the win.
Thanks for coming along for the ride.
Comments welcome.
Paint something this week will ya. :).
OG sniper finally done.
White metal Space Marine Sniper
Finally got this guy stripped of the old paint job, and painted him up the way I saw it in my mind.
Although I had three pairs, all painted in different camo. Was never happy with them. I am with this one, and will am to get the other done.
Maybe on the next one I will make the plants taller to hide him more.
Yes. It is a full metal jacket.
The aquarium plants were washed in white glue, before being washed with grey/black/water contrast mix.
This is the dry brush of grey over the rattle can brown.
All of these white metal marines are part of my OG, getting done.
Even if I will be adding 3 d parts and newer plastic parts from GW.

3D printed SM biker
3d Printed Space Marine Biker
A friend of mine, printed this Space Marine biker, I like the 30K look to it and asked if I could paint one.
He let me have this one.
The headlight I painted white then yellow, and toned it down with a wash of contrast grey/black 50 50 with water.
The green is Vallejo black green 50 50 with water, over a drybrush and rattle can .
The rear tire was washed with drop of contrast grey, black, and water. over that was a dry brush of vallejo US field Drab.
The blue is a drop of Dark prusssian blue and intense blue from Vallejo with a drop of water. The shoulder pad trim I washed with that grey/black contrast mix.
The helmet lens is aqua also from vallejo. I did dry brush silver on the raised points of the armor.
This is what the dry brushed version looked like before paint. The base coat was rattle can drown. Dry brush khaki, and grey.
Base color going down before the contrast wash. The paint handle is a pill container with double stick tape.
Thanks for coming along for the ride.
