OG Space Marine with 3D added parts stepping up.
Legion of the Damned white metal with 3D printed better stuff.
Finally got this guy and a bunch of other white metal stripped of their old paint job. Started painting them up.
Elected to not paint his eyes. I went with a muted bases. I may wash it down more.
I was thinking when posing him, that he just unloaded with left gun is now looking through the smoke ready to double tap anyone left with the right.
I was always a fan of the knobby shoulder pad and beakie helmet, but not the plastic marine box when they came out in 1990’s.
These are my 2nd favorite back pack. My earlier OG guys, you can see them in earlier posts, have my all time favorite. I should have bought more.
This squad of ten will be a mix of amour types, and weapons. The bases is what will tie them altogether.
Never enough time. I got an idea from doing these guys for the next squad of 10. You may not have read my goal when I started this site was to complete my 70 white metal guys. Like any good game I also bought some new plastic to feed my plastic krak addiction. So all told I will have over 100 space marines.
I have been working on the basics for my Chapter.
Anyway, all of these white metal marines are part of my OG, and they are getting done.
Adding 3d parts and newer plastic parts for me just makes my day.
I am glad that waiting paid off. Contrast/speed paints/ new plastic parts, and 3 d printed parts for the win.
Thanks for coming along for the ride.
Comments welcome.
Paint something this week will ya. :).
OG sniper finally done.
White metal Space Marine Sniper
Finally got this guy stripped of the old paint job, and painted him up the way I saw it in my mind.
Although I had three pairs, all painted in different camo. Was never happy with them. I am with this one, and will am to get the other done.
Maybe on the next one I will make the plants taller to hide him more.
Yes. It is a full metal jacket.
The aquarium plants were washed in white glue, before being washed with grey/black/water contrast mix.
This is the dry brush of grey over the rattle can brown.
All of these white metal marines are part of my OG, getting done.
Even if I will be adding 3 d parts and newer plastic parts from GW.

3D printed SM biker
3d Printed Space Marine Biker
A friend of mine, printed this Space Marine biker, I like the 30K look to it and asked if I could paint one.
He let me have this one.
The headlight I painted white then yellow, and toned it down with a wash of contrast grey/black 50 50 with water.
The green is Vallejo black green 50 50 with water, over a drybrush and rattle can .
The rear tire was washed with drop of contrast grey, black, and water. over that was a dry brush of vallejo US field Drab.
The blue is a drop of Dark prusssian blue and intense blue from Vallejo with a drop of water. The shoulder pad trim I washed with that grey/black contrast mix.
The helmet lens is aqua also from vallejo. I did dry brush silver on the raised points of the armor.
This is what the dry brushed version looked like before paint. The base coat was rattle can drown. Dry brush khaki, and grey.
Base color going down before the contrast wash. The paint handle is a pill container with double stick tape.
Thanks for coming along for the ride.

2nd group of Chaos cultist/ Anarchist/ Apocalypse for my games.
Chaos cultist/ Anarchist/ Apocalypse for my games, 2nd group.
Additional fellas for post Apocalypse fellas, living their best life with their buddies.
The box had a lot of duplicate poses. I tried to paint them different or remove and add stuff to them to change them up.
You can see on the middle guy, I am having problems with my white glue (PVA).
Nice box and happy to finally getting them done.
Thanks for coming along for the ride.

Chaos cultist/ Anarchist/ Apocalypse for my games.
General post Apocalypse fellas, living their best life.
The scout fellas back pack is from green stuff. The axe on the guy from the left is from a Dwarf kit.
Tried to do some camo to tie the group together, but also wanted to have individual guys. Maybe new to the unit. Still need to finish the bases for the remainder.
I was to neat or particular about the paint job. Post apoc being what I was feeling.
Thanks for coming along for the ride.

Assault Primaris Blood Claw
Blood Claw made into regular Assault SM.
Needed a 2nd squad of assault guy. I choose to use Blood Claws, modified a little, to be just Space Marines.
You can see I went with a different paint scheme. SO I can easily tell the difference between the two squads of guys.
Not sure why the helmet and right arm blurred.
Like I have said in my other posts. Slowly making my way to 7 squads. 5 of 10, and 2 heavy weapon squads of five.
Wanted to show the before and after of removing the mask from the base.
You can see the mask did not come off the rock at the base of his left foot. I will need to paint that.
Thanks for coming along for the ride.
Back from my vacation, and slowly getting back into the groove.
Paint something this week will ya. :).
Back to my OG Space Marines.
Another of my OG Space Marines.
Before the 30K Branding First sons non sense.
Getting done my five man 30K MK 3 armor guys, I felt, I needed to get an OG Space Marine up for the dance.
No matter how many years go by, they still make me smile. Repainted sure but happy.
Showing off the all metal skull shoulder pad.
Just because they repurposed some chaos shoulder pads, does not mean they are not loyal.
Chaos this!
I will off on vacation next week, and unable to post because of the roaming charges.
I got some 3d printed parts coming for my OGs, so I hope to get one more OG done.
Slowly making my way to 7 squads. 5 of 10, and 2 heavy weapon squads of five.

Last two guys of the first 5 man squad of my 30K Kit bash Space Marines.
30K Kit bash squad members. Storm bolter and Lighting Claw.
CQB specialist.
My 30K Space Marines are coming along. This 5 man squad, with the assualt cannon forms the base of the 10 man unit. The other squad will have the heavy flamer.
I am thinking that I would like two squads of 10.
Main color is still Dark Prussian blue (Vallejo) model color, with black green, and slaughter red (Army painter speed paint)
Of all the different Armour marks, this is my favorite. I also like the mk 6 with no eagles. On my plastic space marines I remove them. On my lead, they were bought from GW like that.
This 4th and 5th guy are armed with storm bolter, and lighting claw. In Space Hulk it allows for parry of an attack.
I like these, and looking forward to painting more of them.
Mk3 30K Space Marine Kit bashed with Storm bolter, and lighting Claw.
You can see these guys do not have their back packs. I painted them, but wanted to see how I liked this cleaner look.
I really like these guys. If I can get a 3d print, I will upscale them to be the size of a Terminator.
3rd member of my 30K Kit bash Space Marines.
30K Kit bash 3rd squad member. Sgt with storm bolter and power axe.
My 30K Space Marines are coming along. The squad is mainly for 1st edition Space Hulk missions. Not that I cant use them in a game of 11th Edition.
Main color is still Dark Prussian blue (Vallejo) model color, with black green, and slaughter red (Army painter speed paint)

This 3rd guy is the Sgt. Armed with storm bolter, and power axe. I like how the squad is coming along.
Also working on my blood claws (assault intercessor) nice kit, my regular assault intercessors, and my OG guys (first sons).
Am enjoying the beat up look, but not grim dark.
Only after seeing the photo did I notice I did not paint the eagle on the storm bolter.
