Blood Bowl Ard boys-1st three linemen

The first box of Ardboys (Orks) that came out I bought to make into my blood bowl players. This was when 1st edition came out. Not liking the sameness of the ork blood bowl team. I took out three and converted them into my Oni, and kept the rest to make my team.

Then GW made a 2nd box of Ard boys with shields that I thought would make better line men. The project went on hold.

A friend of mine 3d printed some that are similar to the GW set, and gave them to me.

These are the first 3 of 6 line men.

I wanted to paint the middle guys face white. where his face guard is, but decided not to. I like these line men for my team.

This is where if you are in the hobby a 4k print might turn you off, and you want to buy the GW plastic. Understand though I could have sanded the shield with different grit of sand paper to make it smooth.

To me they are Orks, and Orks would be, “so What?”

Back side of the middle guy. I forgot to paint the back side of his boots I can now see.

I like the idea of these guys as my line men of my blood bowl team.

I can see that I forgot to paint his coin pouch. You in this hobby to paint and play, and not to be a professional painter.

Do not beat yourself up about missing things after you post stuff. Be glad you got some guys done.

Last of the trio. You can see that the right fist is way brighter than the rest of the armor. It went on last and I forgot to wash it, and edge highlight with silver.

Rattle can black. White and yellow zen dry brush for the red and metal parts. I did the same thing for the shields. The shields hand I painted like they had gloves on, and the fist hand I painted orc skin.
