Orruk-Lord of the Rings style.
I bought the Harbinger beginner box from my local game store, at discount. I think two years ago. I did the Stormcast, and finally getting to the Orruks.
I wanted them to look more like what you would read in Lord of the Rings (LOR), but not use the LOR miniatures that GW makes. These are great plastics.
They will serve as fantasy and for my sci-fi encounters on backwater planets.
I like the way the test figure came out. Am glad the Games workshop made these. As you can see from my other post I also have regular Orks for encounters. These those really look like something you could encounter out in the wild.
The skin is medium flesh by Vallejo. it was applied over sun nuclear sunrise speed paint by Army painter. The primer was Flat Deep Forest Green by rust-oleum.
Give you an idea of the tones. The green belt and shield bindings is Orc skin speed paint by Army painter.
The spear shafts was done using contrast wylwood by Games Workshop. You can see in the picture above that it is not as dark as in this photo. The highlights are not even showing up on the spear.
Test model done, I will start working on the rest, unless another plastic krak gets my attention.
Thanks for stopping by.
