Painting and working on my Orruk-Lord of the Rings style.
Before that though please visit grandma and pa. Get some of these pill bottles from them, stop buying paint handles. Make sure you remove their name if you do post photos.
You can see I try to work on two guys at a time. The blue tack at the bottom right I use when painting detail. In this case the belt and the shield straps.
Working on the teeth on the shield, I did the same thing.
Doing units like these, I rattle can the group. In this case with green. Then work on them in pairs.
I also try to do batch work, like this with the clothing. Remember we are gamers, not influencers. We paint units, not just one guy and the rest remain unpainted.
You can see from the photo above the skin is not done yet.
A benefit of using pill bottles is you can turn them on the side like in the photo below, use the tab to secure your miniature when painting details. In the case below its pushed against a coaster while I paint the teeth.
Here are a few I am using to paint some heads. The helmets are pushed into the blue tack, because I am going to being working on the eye lens, and then clean up with a detail brush.
Check out my bases mag section for more about the pill bottles. Also check out the Age of Sigmar section for the Orruk I painted and still working on.
Thanks for stopping by. Paint a miniature this week will you, and visit grandma and grandpa.
